Arcadia, Inc.'s experience in the field of architectural aluminum dates back to the 1930's. The following is a timeline of Arcadia, Inc. history from the 1930's to 2001:

• 1930 - Acme Metal Molding (becomes Arcadia, Inc. in 1958) is founded and becomes a leading manufacturer of wood, steel and aluminum glazing trims and moldings for windows.
• 1943 - Acme Metal Molding purchases Berlyn Sawmill, a maker of wood storefront entrance doors since the early 1900's.
• 1954 - Acme Metal Molding is acquired by Arcadia and drops its name. Aluminum doors were introduced.
• 1955 - Arcadia holds ground breaking for the construction of a new facility in Fullerton, CA. Arcadia is the leading manufacturer of steel sliding doors.
• 1958 - The Northrop group acquires Arcadia Sliding Products. Northrop incorporates its knowledge of aircraft aluminum fabrication into the Arcadia product lines.
• 1960 - Carmel Steel purchases steel line from Arcadia.
• 1963 - Northrop/Arcadia acquires Pacific Curtainwall.
• 1964 - Arcadia, Inc. co-names Northrop Architectural System combines its product lines and markets products under Arcadia, Inc.
• 1979 - Arcadia, Inc. completes ten years of international business including projects worldwide in Tokyo, Singapore, Bangkok, Hong Kong, Abu Dhabi, Paris, London, Santiago, Mexico City, Oslo and Johannesburg.
• 1980 - Arcadia, Inc. joins the H.H. Robertson Company team. Arcadia, Inc. also known as Northrop Architectural Systems, continues to manufacture its comprehensive line of systems as well as manufacturing Robertson's laminated architectural wall systems.
• 1981 - Arcadia, Inc. introduces the energy saving thermal framing TC systems. The TC systems join the Arcadia, Inc. family of thermally controlled windows, sliding doors and curtainwall systems.
• 1986 - Arcadia, Inc. joins the Architectural Aluminum Inc. Group. Arcadia, Inc. now expands to include an in-house aluminum extrusion and anodizing facility.
• 1989 - Arcadia, Inc. adds Wilson Partitions interior framing to its product line.
• 1990 - Arcadia, Inc. Northern California begins manufacturing.
• 1991 - The Northwest area joins the Arcadia, Inc. family with a facility in Washington.
• 1995 - Arcadia, Inc. opens its Hawaii plant for production.
• 1996 - Las Vegas is added to the locations where Arcadia, Inc. products are manufactured.
• 1998 - Arcadia, Inc. expands its engineered curtain wall group to meet the increased demands of the new Uniform Building Code requirements which included the design and fabrication of unitized systems.
• 1999 - Arcadia, Inc. opens its Arizona plant for production.
• 2001 - Arcadia, Inc. of Arizona moves into its new larger facility in Tempe.
• 2001 - Sacramento, CA is the addition to Arcadia, Inc.'s network of manufacturing facilities
• 2004 - Albuquerque, NM is the latest addition to Arcadia, Inc.'s network of manufacturing facilities
